There are some very interesting facts of the Lenox company on the encyclopedic site Wikipedia. Just a few of the interesting facts are Lenox Ceramic Art Company was founded 1889 in Trenton, New Jersey by Walter Scott. Starting with only 18 employees making only one of a kind artwares first displayed at the Smithsonian Institution in 1897. Some of the beautiful pieces were commisioned by the White House of the United States. Lenox was the most prestigious American maker of fine tableware, and the last significant maker of bone china in the United States. Lenox closed all outlet and warehouse stores in July of 2020.
