Cliff of Hanley England applied for a patent as stated along with the hallmark on the bottom, for this beautiful, rare and unusual teapot. Rare pertaining to the design of the drip proof or spoutless style and the unusual hexagon shape with the added beauty of the majolica glaze adorning the celtic floral detail, very rare. Just amazing to have the collaboration of such striking attributes in such a simple single item. Age of time and use has produced two chips one is under the lid on the rim of the teapot not seen with lid in place the other is a small chip on the spout opening area, see both in the last two pictures of my discription, no other chips, cracks or glazing. Measurements are approximately 6 1/2 inches wide at the base and 5 inches tall with a aproximate capacity of 24+ ounces. Exceptional display for your teapot collection.
