This set of three Alfred Meakin Tea Leaf Royal Ironstone China luncheon plates are from the date of 1897 with the Alfred Meakin hallmark without the LTD added which is a later version. The tea leaf pattern was created by Anthony Shaw and the patten was reqistered in 1856. The simple but elegant the tea leaf design was used by many English and American potters. The three plates are in very good condition with no chips or cracks but one of the plates has glazing and one a dark manufacture mark under the glaze. Please view all pictures as they are a part of my discription. Overall very good condition for the antique age of this set of three plates. Ideal addition to your tea leaf collectibles. Measurements of the three luncheon plates are 8 3/4 inches to 9 inches wide. Very pretty antique collectible plates.
