Etruscan Majolica of Hill, Griffin, and Smith were the largest and best known of Majolica manufacturers in the USA, Phoenixville, Pa. The piece listed for you here is an exceptional Oakleaf Bread Tray. This tray has the later (after 1880) Hill, Griffin, Smith hallmark and the decorators mark 15 and is beautiful in style of a oakleaf shape and in design with the combined muted glazes and brown stem handle. The antique tray is an exquisite display of early majolica at it's best. Ideal for antique gift giving and collecting. Measurements are 2"tall 9 1/2"wide and 12 1/2"long. Museum quality, only a few small chips on center rim of underside see picture, from age and use or manufacturers marks, no other chips or cracks, some glazing. Oakleaf bread tray of Etruscan Majolica is beautiful, antique, rare and very collectible.
