Large brown Majolica Jackfield pitcher exceptional blue band of flora with gold specks and gold beaded trim, hinged pewter lid with finial covers the top. Very nice twisted handle adds interest. Hallmarked only with 900. Research found others with similar patterns from Staffordshire England circa 1860. Does not appear to have use. May have been a wedding gift. This type of pitcher was used for hot milk. No chips or cracks and the painting is in excellent condition. Beautiful. Measurements are 8 inches tall 4 1/4 inches at bottom and 5 1/2" from spout to handle. This is an excellent antique pitcher of this particular kind, perfect display. Ideal for a collector.
